01 · The fundamentals

About the system

What is Oli G?

Oli G is a peptide-driven haircare system formulated and bottled in Miami. Seven products built around a dual peptide system (SH-Oligopeptide-78 + Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1), a 10-amino-acid complex, and a five-stage pH cycle that opens the cuticle for peptide deposit and closes it for sealing.

What does “Oli G” mean?

It’s a nod to oligopeptides — short chains of amino acids that are small enough to enter the hair cortex and reinforce damage from within. Every formula in the system is built around them.

Do I have to use every product, or can I start with one?

You can start with one. If picking a single entry product, choose Atomic Hair Repair Leave-In — it’s the every-wash peptide deposit that drives most of the visible improvement.

The minimum effective routine is Total Refresh Shampoo + Conditioner + Atomic. Adding Chemical Addiction completes the pH-seal step. AquaLush is the weekly intensive. Pure Detox is the weekly clarifier. Renew is the lipid layer for damp ends.

Where is Oli G made?

Formulated and bottled in Miami, Florida. Every product is manufactured in the United States.

02 · The mechanisms

About the science

What are oligopeptides and how do they repair hair?

Oligopeptides are short chains of amino acids — typically two to twenty residues long — small enough to slip past the hair cuticle and into the cortex, where damage actually lives. Once inside, they reinforce the keratin matrix and help rebuild the polypeptide chains broken by bleach, color, chemical services, and heat. Oli G uses two oligopeptides: SH-Oligopeptide-78 and Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, working together at different sites on the hair fiber.

What is the pH cycle and why does it matter?

Hair’s cuticle behaves like overlapping scales. Alkaline pH (above 7) opens the cuticle; acidic pH (below 7) closes it. Most haircare ignores this and applies products at random pH levels. Oli G engineers a full alkaline-to-acidic cycle across the system so peptides and proteins deposit into the open cuticle, then get sealed in with the next step.

This is why sequencing and pH management across the full routine matters — the cuticle state at each step determines whether active ingredients can actually reach the hair.

How is Oli G different from other damage-repair systems?

Oli G takes a broader, routine-based approach to damage care.

Many repair systems are known for one signature treatment step or technology. Oli G is positioned differently: it is designed as an easy, multi-step hair health system that supports cleansing, pH balance, protection, repair, softness, shine, and daily manageability across the full routine.

Rather than focusing on one treatment moment, Oli G helps support the full care cycle — from clarifying and pH-balancing to peptide-based protection, leave-in repair, and nourishing finish.

03 · Cadence & application

About usage

How often should I use the Atomic leave-in treatment?

Atomic is designed for every wash. Apply a few pumps to damp, towel-dried hair, comb through, and style as usual. Unlike treatment masks that require rest periods between uses, Atomic deposits peptides into the cortex with each application and compounds week over week.

How often should I use AquaLush?

Once a week, in place of conditioner. AquaLush is the deepest treatment in the line — peptides, hydrolyzed keratin, 10-amino-acid complex, silk amino acids, plus avocado oil and murumuru butter. Leave on for 5–10 minutes, then rinse. Follow with Atomic and Renew as usual.

For severely damaged hair in active recovery (e.g., post-bleach Type 4 hair), you can use AquaLush twice a week for the first 4–6 weeks.

How often should I use Pure Detox?

Once a week, maximum. Pure Detox is a clarifying shampoo that lifts buildup, hard water minerals, and product residue. Daily use would strip the hair. Best used on wash days following heavy product use, hard water exposure, or before a chemical service.

Skip Pure Detox for the first three weeks after a keratin smoothing service — it accelerates the keratin’s wear-off.

Do I have to wait between services to use Oli G?

No. The system is designed for same-day post-service application. After bleach, color, relaxer, or any chemical service, you can apply Atomic to damp hair the day of the service. There’s no waiting window.

The only exception: keratin smoothing services, which require a 48–72 hour wait before any product use.

04 · Hair types & services

About compatibility

Can I use Oli G on color-treated or bleached hair?

Yes. The system is formulated to be safe on color-treated, bleached, relaxed, keratin-treated, and chemically processed hair. Total Refresh shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free and pH-matched to natural hair.

Is Oli G safe for Type 4 coily hair?

Yes. The system is dosed and pH-engineered for every hair type from Type 1 through Type 4, including hair that has been relaxed, braided, locked, or worn in protective styles. The Renew oil is particularly effective on Type 4 ends, and the AquaLush mask flexes as a weekly intensive for high-porosity or chemically processed coily hair.

See our routine for Type 4 hair and the post-bleach Type 4 protocol.

Can I use Oli G if I have a keratin treatment?

Yes, with one timing note. Wait 48–72 hours after your keratin service before introducing any product. After that, use Total Refresh shampoo and conditioner (sulfate-free, pH-matched, safe for keratin). Skip Pure Detox for the first three weeks; reintroduce it at week three or later. Atomic and Renew can be used daily.

See the full routine for keratin-treated hair.

Can I use Oli G with other repair or bond-building products?

Yes. Oli G can be used alongside other repair-focused products as long as you keep the routine simple and avoid overloading the hair.

Use Oli G as your core hair health system: cleanse, balance, protect, repair, nourish, and finish based on what your hair needs. If you use another treatment product, follow that product’s directions and avoid layering too many intensive treatments in the same wash day.

Is Oli G safe during pregnancy?

The ingredients in Oli G are considered cosmetically safe and don’t include known pregnancy-restricted actives. That said, every pregnancy is different. We recommend consulting your physician before introducing new haircare products during pregnancy.

05 · Timeline & expectations

About results

How long until I see results?

  • First wash: Hair feels softer, less tangled, more pliable when wet.
  • Week 2–3: Visible shine improvement. Cuticle laying flatter. Less breakage during detangling.
  • Week 4–6: Tensile strength noticeably improved. Color holds better. Heat styling damage reduces.
  • Week 8+: Full peptide deposit compounding shows up as durable strength, elasticity, and resilience.

Heavily damaged hair sometimes shows the most dramatic changes in the first 30 days, because the cumulative deposit is filling a deeper deficit.

What if I don’t see results?

Contact us. We’ll walk through your routine, hair history, and any service compatibility questions. Most “not seeing results” issues come down to one of three things: skipping the pH-seal step (Chemical Addiction), not using Atomic on damp hair, or under-dosing for hair length and density.

06 · Ingredients, ethics, channel

About the brand

Is Oli G cruelty-free?

Yes. Oli G products are never tested on animals.

Is Oli G vegan?

The two oligopeptides are synthetic. Most of the line is vegan-formulated. AquaLush contains hydrolyzed keratin (animal-derived). Refer to individual product INCI lists for vegan-specific shopping.

Is Oli G sulfate-free?

Total Refresh Shampoo is sulfate-free (uses Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate). Pure Detox Clarifying Shampoo contains SLES — intentional, because the weekly clarifier requires the lift to remove buildup. The rest of the system doesn’t contain sulfates.

Where can I buy Oli G?

Direct on oligclub.com (this site). Through Oli G Pro for salons and stylists. Through authorized distributors and salon partners. See our Find Oli G page for retail and salon locations.
